Lobby Scottish Govt to expand city limits

The suburbs of Bishopbriggs and Rutherglen are more prosperous than large parts of Glasgow. They would be a welcome addition in terms of Council tax contribution. They already are part of part of Glasgow in many ways (conurbation, both populations work mostly in Glasgow, use of services etc).

Why the contribution is important

Most modern cities expand to take in the population that has left the city and moved to it's peripheral suburbs. Glasgow stopped expanding in the 70's. The population has not stopped moving to the suburbs.
