Charage for Bulk uplifts

Unlike the majority of councils within Scotland , Glasgow City Council offer a free services for removal of "bulky goods" from domestic properties. This service is vastly used and if a charge was levied I imagine it would maybe deter people using the service and presenting the items to the council depots themselves. It may also promote the use of other avenues for  bulk items like, National Reuse Scotland.

Why the contribution is important

It would generate income from those who still wish the services to be carried out by GCC, Also by the public attending the depots themselves may lead to a better understanding of the services that GCC Cleansing department do actually provide. This would also potentially reduce the amount booked in and free up staff for other areas
