Enforce fines on littering

Littering is an offence which carries a fine, however, I rarely see any enforcement of these. If the council could hold people more accountable by actively enforcing fines we could raise more funds.

Why the contribution is important

Littering is without a doubt this cities biggest shame. I have witnessed a culture of littering my entire life, and whilst we evolve our thoughts on living healthier lives, no progress seems to happen with this issue. Fine swould not only raise some revenue but we would also save plenty by cutting the costs of cleaning up. Its time to get tough!

The best way to solve this would be to train people to pick up litter automatically.
Also regular groups of children would be given a day of school to pick up litter all day. This would help to stop future littering.

As part of their eco-school designation schools should be required to keep their grounds litter free. It is ridiculous that the grounds of some eco-schools are a source of litter for the rest of the community.
